Behind every bag of beans and every pop of color in the shop is a husband-and-wife team who just really love what they do.
Mike is the resident "bean nerd." If you hear the hum of the roaster, that’s him at work. He’s devoted to the science of a perfect roast and spends his time perfecting housemade syrups—like our fan-favorite Banana Bread—so your morning caffeine hit is anything but ordinary.
Kat is the visionary behind the vibe. She believes that where you drink your coffee matters just as much as what’s in the cup. With a love for bold patterns, intentional lighting, and a palette that keeps things bright even on a gray Minnesota morning, she’s curated a space that feels like a "home away from home" for the Stillwater community.
Together, they created Mike & Kat's Other Place to be exactly that: your other place. Not home, not work, but that third spot where you can breathe easy, enjoy an amazing latte, and leave feeling just a little bit lighter.
